Audrey Fraggalosch

Audrey has been traveling since she was 10 years old when she took her first transatlantic flight to spend a summer with relatives in the Austrian alps. This initial dip into another culture and place, inspired living in France and then decades of travel exploring Canada, Europe, Africa and Japan.

After graduate school in Canada, Audrey developed her writing and editing skills in the publishing industry. She has written 2 adult nature books and 4 children’s books in collaboration with the Nature Conservancy and has extensive editing experience.

Upon settling in Washington, she started working in tourism. First with Bellingham Whatcom County Tourism and then other regional destination marketing organizations as well as Washington State Tourism. She was involved in developing the initial Scenic Byways Guide and Map and since then has explored most of WA’s Scenic Byways and worked with communities throughout WA to help increase tourism. Her enthusiasm for the beauty of the Pacific Northwest is contagious.

Audrey is an avid bird watcher and has recently started painting local birds. She enjoys skiing at Mt Baker and walking her Sheltie along the shores of the Salish Sea.
