Freeland
Freeland is a small town in Whidbey Island, which got it’s name because it started as a socialist commune in the early 1900s.
Freeland has access to two ferries, the Clinton Ferry and the Coupeville Ferry, it also boasts about their 3rd July Celebration which apparently has the largest fireworks display south of Oak Harbor.
Freeland’s outdoor recreation includes Double Bluff Beach, South Whidbey Island State Park, Freeland Park, and Holmes Harbor Golf Course.
