Grays Harbor Wildlife Refuge

From late April through early May, hundreds of thousands of shorebirds concentrate on the muddy tideflats of this Grays Harbor Estuary. Limited parking is available across from Lana's Hangar Cafe on Airport Way.

Do not park on the blacktop road west of the gate. To access the trail from the parking area, walk past the gate near the information kiosk, then continue walking past the long row of airport hangers. The Sandpiper trailhead can be found across from the last hanger, where the blacktop ends.
