Lopez Island Chamber of Commerce
Lopez Island is the first ferry stop from Anacortes on the Washington State Ferries. It is approximately a 45-minute ferry ride filled with plenty of scenery along the way. It is not uncommon to spot a bald eagle, seal, otter or the occasional orca whale on the ferry journey. Lopez is the most rural community of the three major islands of the San Juan Islands, and covers 29.5 square miles.
Lopez has several public beach areas that can be accessed for long walks along the shoreline or treks through wooded trails of the State and County Parks. Agate Beach, Shark Reef Park, Otis Perkins Park, Spencer Spit State Park, Odlin County Park, and Upright Head are among the favorites. Things to do in Lopez include fishing, boating, kayaking, golf, tennis, and biking. A popular activity on the island is to simply sit down with a pair of binoculars and watch the wildlife.
The Lopez Island Chamber of Commerce is located in the heart of Lopez Village on Lopez Road across from the Village Park. There you can find the Lopez Island Map & Guide, the Lopez Services Directory as well as brochures, ferry schedules, merchandise, and more. The Lopez Island Chamber sponsors the annual Tour De Lopez bicycle ride and various other community events throughout the year.
