Mount Vernon sits on a curve of the Skagit River and is halfway between Seattle and Vancouver BC. It is home to George Washington’s Mansion, which was built in 1735, and has tours available to the public. It is known for it’s annual Tulip Festival Street Fair, and was rated the #1 “Best Small City in America” by the New Rating Guide to Life in America’s Small Cities.
Recreation includes 50 + trails (for walking and biking) including the Kiwanis Park Boardwalk, Kulshan Trail, Little Mountain Trails, and Eaglemount Trail to name a few. Mount Vernon is loaded with city parks, like Bakerview Park, Edgewater Park, Hillcrest Park, and more!
