Point Defiance Park
Point Defiance Park is a large urban park in Tacoma, Washington. More than three million visitors come to the park every year. The park includes Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium, the Rose Garden, Japanese Garden, Rhododendron Garden, beaches, trails, a boardwalk, off-leash dog park, and more. It is known for its stand of old-growth forest. Fun fact: the park also provides habitat for mule deer, red foxes, Pileated woodpeckers, Douglas squirrels, and raccoons.
