Sky Valley Chamber of Commerce

Sky Valley Chamber of Commerce serves Sultan, Startup, Gold Bar, Index, Baring, Skykomish and the popular Stevens Pass.

Sultan is an old logging community named after local Indian Chief, Sultan John. It features Osprey Park, each fall you can watch pink salmon fight their way up the Sultan River to spawn.

Startup is a historic town from 1890 named after George G. Startup, manager of the Wallace Lumber Company.

Gold Bar sits along the banks of the Skykomish River, come during the Gold Dust Days Heritage Festival or bring your dirt bike to the Reiter Pit.

Index was settled in the late 1800’s and is named after Mount Index. It is a popular climbing destination, and is a great base camp for outdoor adventures in the Cascade Mountains.

Baring is a tiny town with a genuine country store. It has one of the last standing one-lane wooden suspension bridges in Washington State. Hikers come to visit the Barclay Creek Trail that will take you to Barclay Lake.  

Stevens Pass is a small town 16 miles east of the Stevens Pass Ski Resort, which is also home to the first downhill mountain biking area served by Lifts in Washington.
